Early indications for A-level results suggest that it has been another successful year for schools in South Gloucestershire.

A number of schools are showing improved results on last year. All schools have highlighted some special achievements and success for individual students.

The Castle School has recorded particularly high results and Downend School and Chipping Sodbury School are also celebrating significantly improved results compared with the previous year.

Cllr Jon Hunt, Chair of the Children and Young People Committee at South Gloucestershire Council, said: “The wait is over for thousands of students in South Gloucestershire who will be receiving their A-level results today. I would like to offer congratulations to each and every one of them. They should be very proud of their individual successes and overall achievement.”
