Councillors approve new parish councils

Members approved officers’ recommendations to create a new town council for Emersons Green and a parish council for Stoke Lodge and The Common, following the council’s recent review of its community governance arrangements.
Officers will now begin the detailed work needed to prepare for the new councils, with the first elections set to take place in 2015.
