Changes to opening times and services over Christmas and New Year

Bus service changes from January 2015

From January there are a number of changes to bus services across South Gloucestershire which are designed to improve punctuality and reliability.

Changes from 5 January

Service 12: UWE Frenchay Campus to UWE Bower Ashton Campus – Wessex
Timetable amended Monday to Friday, term time only, to improve punctuality and reliability of the service. No change to route.

Service 13: UWE Frenchay Campus to Broadmead, Bristol – Wessex
Timetable amended Monday to Saturday, term time only, to improve punctuality and reliability of the service. No change to route.

Service 14: UWE Frenchay Campus to Bristol Centre – Wessex
Timetable amended to improve punctuality and reliability of the service. No change to route.

Service 19: UWE Frenchay Campus to Bristol Centre – Wessex
Timetable amended Monday to Saturday to improve punctuality and reliability of the service. No change to route.

Service 312: Service will operate between Thornbury and UWE Frenchay Campus only – Severnside
The section of route between Downend and UWE Frenchay is withdrawn. Timetable amended to run at peak times only, service is now running commercially Monday to Friday, Saturday service is withdrawn.

Service 622: Thornbury to Tetbury – Severnside
Service now running to Tetbury via Yate, Chipping Sodbury, Didmarton and Westonbirt Arboretum. The section between Thornbury and Cribbs Causeway has now been withdrawn due to another commercial operator running this part of the route. Service will run every 120 minutes during the day. School journey will still operate between Lower Almondsbury and Marlwood/Castle School.
Sunday service will still exist operated by Wessex Connect.

 

Changes from 11 January

Service X5: Weston-Super-Mare to UWE Frenchay Campus – First
Timetable amended and service extended beyond Cribbs Causeway to Bristol Parkway Station and UWE Frenchay Campus. The service will operate via the M5 Motorway between Weston-super-Mare and Portishead, and the X5 will no longer be serving Congresbury and Yatton.
Beyond Cribbs Causeway towards UWE the service will operate via Highwood Road, Stoke Lane, Little Stoke Lane, Hatchet Road, Bristol Parkway Station, Brierly Furlong, Great Stoke Way, Filton Road and Coldharbour Lane to the Frenchay Campus.

Service 88: Dursley to Bristol – First
Monday to Friday timetable amended to improve punctuality and reliability of the service.

Service 533: Keynsham to Mangotsfield – Wessex
Service withdrawn by the operator, the majority of the service will be covered by a number of bus routes:
Service 7 will provide links to Bristol Centre for Staple Hill, Hill House Road, Salisbury Road, Northcote Road, Mangotsfield Road and Charhill Drive.
Service 17 will provide a service along Henshaw Road, Lodge Road, Kingswood Centre, Hanham Road and Courtney Road. Also travels along Keynsham Road.
Service 42 will provide a service along Newton Road, Park Crescent, Park Road, Tower Road South, Mill Lane, Victoria Road, Bath Road, North Street, West Street, Barry Road and Keynsham Road into Keynsham.
Service 43 will provide a service along Newton Road, Park Crescent and Newton Road shops.
Service 45 will provide a service from Aspects Leisure Centre and Craven Way towards Bristol.
